With 29 states dipped in different colors and having their own story, India is a land which has preserved the culture, majesty, heritage and love of many rulers and invaders who visited it. Treasures of India – will take you on a tour where you will experience bustling and modern life style of Mumbai; colorful Rajasthan visiting forts, palaces, lakes and temples; Taj Mahal – memento of love and at last conclude tour at Delhi which is a blend of old and new culture.
Day 02: At Mumbai
Morning you will explore the heritage ad architecture of Mumbai with Heritage Walk. You will see a veritable parade of archetypal Neo–Gothic public buildings built in the 1860’s & 70’s such as the glorious Bombay University Library with its high campanile and the grand imposing High Court that are South Mumbai’s main architectural attraction. Fronting this line of historic Gothic edifices across the open space of Oval Maidan is a row of superb 1930’s Art Deco apartment buildings making this a marvelous unique setting both visually and architecturally.
HERITAGE WALK TOUR OF MUMBAI
Evening enjoy Heritage Ride which will start 20:00 hrs from your hotel exploring the evening glory of Mumbai by night.
This enchanting evening ride by Tonga is to enjoy Mumbai by night and to witness the historic beauty of this vibrant city visiting the Heritage structures, Queen Necklace – Marine Drive.
Tonga ride nicknamed as ‘Heritage Ride‘ is welcomed by a traditional horse carriage with regal touch to make this evening special & joyful.
The buggy shall report at your Hotel (only Colaba area) from where your ride begins with photo halt from Gateway of India. We then visit the Heritage buildings which are illuminated in the night covering Regal Circle, Elphinstone College, Bombay University, High Court, Flora fountain, D.N road, Victoria Terminus Railway Station (UNESCO World Heritage Site), Marine Drive – Queens Necklace. Drop back to a restaurant of your choice like Indigo, Café Leopold, Khyber, Trishna, Mahesh, etc or back to your hotel.
Day 03: Mumbai to Udaipur (by flight)
After breakfast you will proceed for excursion to Elephanta Island visiting its caves with beautiful caving and sculptures that dates back to 550 AD.
Afternoon return back to Mumbai and check out from hotel. You will be provided on time transfer to Mumbai domestic airport to fly to Udaipur.
On arrival at Udaipur meet assistance and transfer to hotel where you will spend your have night stay.
Day 04: At Udaipur
Founded by Maharaja Udai Singh in 1568, Udaipur is situated on the banks of Lake Pichola with lush green hills of the Aravalli surroundings, making it the most romantic city of Rajasthan. Proceed for guided sightseeing tour and visit City Palace, Jagdish Temple, Jag Mandir and Saheliyon–Ki–Bari. Enjoy rest of the day on the banks of the Lake Pichola, which shines like a jewel in the crown of the city adding more grace and grandeur to it or optionally take sunset cruise or visit the numerous shops that dot the narrow windings streets of Udaipur. Enjoy your dinner at diner with view of glittering Pichola Lake.
Day 05: Udaipur to Jodhpur (At Chanwa Luni)
Early morning after breakfast start your journey to Chanwa Luni – an estate near to Jodhpur. On the way you will visit to old Jain Temples at Ranakpur which beautifully sculptured and architected. On arrival at Fort Chanwa Luni receive traditional welcome in a royal way. After a short rest you proceed for guided village tour where you will experience the colorful life of rural Rajasthan. Tour of village can be done on foot or you can also enjoy camel ride. Real fun lies in communicating with locals and getting yourself involved into various livelihood activities. Dinner will be at hotel with delicious Rajathani cuisine.
Day 06: At Jodhpur
Morning proceed to Jodhpur City which is just an hour away. At Jodhpur your first encounter will be at Mehrangarh Fort which stands hundred feet in splendor on a perpendicular cliff, four hundred feet above the sky line of Jodhpur. Then after follows visits to Jaswant Thada – a graceful marble cenotaph built in 1899 for Maharaja Jaswant Singh.
Then after check into hotel to rest and stay overnight.
Day 07: Jodhpur to Khimsar
Today you drive to Khimsar – an oasis in desert, which will leave an unforgettable memory of towards this tour. On arrive at Khimsar Fort check into and settle into your room. Lunch will be at hotel in traditional way. Evening enjoy visit to dunes for hi–tea. Dinner at hotel followed by overnight stay.
Day 08: Khimsar to Jaipur
After breakfast proceed to Jaipur – Pink City of India and capital city of Jaipur, also the home of mighty king Maan Singh. After you get fresh–n–up at hotel visit to City Palace, ancient observatory and Hawa Mahal – known as Palace of Winds.
Day 09: At Jaipur
Morning visit to Amer Fort ascending atop elephant. Afternoon rest in hotel. As the sun prepares to set visit to Galtaji Temple (also known as monkey temple) which has a back–drop of gorgeous landscape featuring lush green vegetation, and offers a fascinating view of the city of Jaipur. The religious hymns and chants, combined with the natural setting, provide a peaceful ambiance for anyone who visits there. Evening explore markets of Jaipur.
Day 10: Jaipur to Agra
Early morning after breakfast proceed to Agra. En–route to Agra visit to Fatehpur Sikhri, the deserted city of Mughals which is also a masterpiece of Muslim, Hindu and Jain architecture.
(Optional: visit to Bhangarh Fort – A haunted palace which has placed itself in top 10)
On arrival settle into your room and rest. Evening enjoy hi–tea at Taj Khema overlooking Taj. (B)
Day 11: At Agra
No visit to India would be complete without a stop at one of its most iconic monuments, the world–famous Taj Mahal. It’s recommended to visit the Taj Mahal at sunrise, when the skies tend to be clear. The first rays of sun reflecting off the glistening white marble of the monument are truly something special. After breakfast at hotel visit to Agra Fort and then Itmad–ud–Daula Tomb. Remaining day we leave for you to explore the local area or rest yourself in hotel.
Day 12: Agra to Delhi
After a leisure breakfast drive to Delhi – the national capital of India. As you approach near to river Yamuna visit to beautifully ornate Akshardham Temple which consists of 234 carved pillars, 9 domes, 20 quadrangle shikhars, a spectacular Gajendra Pith and 20,000 statues of Indian saints, devotees and divine personalities. Then after check into your hotel to have a short rest and fresh–n–up. Late afternoon visit to Jama Masjid, mile–long Chandani Chok Bazzar (with rickshaw ride) and Raj Ghat (a memorial to Mahatama Gandhi). Evening you may visit to local malls and market to experience life style of Delhi.
Day 13: At Delhi
Morning starts off with tour visiting to Qutab Minar, A soaring 73 meters high tower built in 1193 to mark of Delhi’s last Hindu Kingdom. Then after visit to Humayun Tomb first substantial example of Mughal architecture in India. Further proceed to Lotus Temple. Rest of the day we leave you free for your own activities.
Day 14: Depart from Delhi
Today you pack your bag to leave India and return home after extracting sweet memories from Treasures of India. Afternoon check out and you will be escorted to Delhi International Airport to board your flight home.
